Virgilio Mazzocchi (22 July 1597 bapt. – 3 October 1646) was an Italian baroque composer.

François Schubert (né Franz Anton Schubert (the Younger); 22 July 1808, Dresden – 12 April 1878, Dresden) was a violinist and composer. After training with concertmaster Antonio Rolla in Dresden, Schubert studied violin with Charles Philippe Lafont in Paris and began working under the name François Schubert. He played in the Staatskapelle in Dresden from 1823 to 1873. The son of church composer Franz Anton Schubert (the Elder, 1768–1824), Schubert was married to the singer and actress Maschinka Schubert (1815–1882) who was the daughter of horn player and composer Georg Abraham Schneider. Their daughter was the opera singer and composer Georgina Schubert (1840–1878). François Schubert composed concert pieces, études, and chamber music, but is largely known for the bagatelle The Bee, a perpetuum mobile for violin and piano – a piece that is often misattributed to Franz Schubert due to the similarity of the two men's names.

Heinrich Proch (22 July 1809 – 18 December 1878) was an Austrian composer. Born in Vienna, Proch studied jurisprudence and completed his training as a violinist in his native city. From 1834 to 1867, he was a member of the Vienna Hofkapelle. He was also Kapellmeister at the Theater in der Josefstadt between 1837 and 1840, after which he became First Kapellmeister at the Theater am Kärntnertor, the predecessor of the Vienna State Opera. Besides his conducting duties, Proch also worked as a singing teacher. He composed one opera (Ring und Maske), three operettas, incidental music, orchestral works, and chamber music, as well as over 200 lieder, and won further distinction for his translations of Italian operas (e.g., Verdi's Il trovatore, Donizetti's Don Pasquale). Today, his most famous composition remains the air with variations Deh! torna mio bene, a virtuosic work for coloratura soprano that has been recorded by most sopranos from Luisa Tetrazzini and Amelita Galli-Curci to Maria Callas. Proch died in Vienna. His daughter, Louise Proch, became a well-known singer and actor.

Luigi Arditi (16 July 1822 – 1 May 1903) was an Italian violinist, composer and conductor.

Géza Zichy (23 July 1849 – 14 January 1924) was a Hungarian composer and was also renowned as the world's first professional one-armed pianist. Zichy also published an autobiography ("Aus meinem Leben", 3 vols, 1911–24) and some poetry.

Victor Roger (22 July 1853 – 2 December 1903) was a French composer. He is best known for his operettas, particularly the lighter kind known as the "vaudeville-opérette". His thirty theatre works, composed between 1880 and 1902, also include pantomimes and ballets. His best-known piece, Les vingt-huit jours de Clairette, has remained in the repertory of French companies.

Arthur Martinus Hartmann (né Arthur Hartman; July 23, 1881 – March 30, 1956) was an American violinist, composer and friend of Claude Debussy. Hartmann was the son of Sigmund Hartman and Pepi Schweiger, who had immigrated from Hungary in December 1879. His father discovered his musical talents early on, and from the age of 6 Arthur studied with the Dutch-born violinist and composer Martinus van Gelder (1854–1941). Later, Hartmann would adopt "Martinus" as a middle name in his teacher's honor. He was uncle to writer/artist Alfred Bendiner (1899–1964) He was the author of Claude Debussy as I Knew Him and Other Writings of Arthur Hartmann.

Osvald Chlubna (July 22, 1893 in Brno – October 30, 1971 in Brno) was a prominent Czech composer. Intending originally to study engineering, Chlubna switched his major and from 1914 to 1924, he studied composition with Leoš Janáček. Until 1953, he worked as a clerk. Later, he taught at the Organ School in Brno for many years. He worked in many art organisations in Brno. Chlubna's works can be defined by three distinct periods: Romanticism, Impressionism, all the way to the Modern Constructivism. He delved into Symbolism as well. He used the texts of symbolic Czech poets, such as Otakar Březina, Jaroslav Vrchlický, Jaroslav Durych and others. He wrote several cycles of compositions for piano and organ, as well as instrumental concerts, symphonies, ouvertures and cantatas. He wrote many operas, often using his own librettos, such as The Revenge of Catullus based on the work of Vrchlický (1917), Alladina and Palomid (based on the work of Maeterlinck, 1925), Ňura (1932), How the Death came in the World (1936), Jiří from Kunštát and Poděbrady (based on the work of Alois Jirásek, 1941), Cradle (composed on the work of Jirásek, 1951), Eupyros (1960). He also wrote texts and articles primarily about Janáček.

George Dreyfus AM (born 22 July 1928) is an Australian contemporary classical, film and television composer.

Vladimir Aleksandrovich Kobekin (Владимир Александрович Кобекин) (b. 22 July 1947, Berezniki) is a Russian composer best known for his opera compositions. He studied under Sergei Slonimsky at the Leningrad Conservatory. After graduating in 1971 he taught music composition at the Urals Mussorgsky State Conservatoire (1971–1980). From 1992 to 1995 he served as chairman of the Ural branch of the Union of Soviet Composers. Since 1995 he has been a senior lecturer in the composition department at the Urals Mussorgsky State Conservatoire. Among his notable pupils is opera composer Anastasia Bespalova. In 1987 he won the Honoured Representative of the Arts Award, and later that year he was made a laureate of the USSR State Prize.

Aleksey Mikhailovich Igudesman (Russian: Алексей Михайлович Игу́десман; born 22 February 1973) is a Russian-German violinist and composer. He performs in the comedy-musical duo Igudesman & Joo.

Sydney Guillaume (born 22 July 1982) is a Haitian-American composer of contemporary classical music and film music, conductor, clinician, singer and pianist based out of Portland, Oregon. He has composed music for a variety of chamber ensembles, but is known primarily for his choral compositions.
