Antonio Maria Abbatini

Antonio Maria Abbatini (c. 1609 or 1610 – c. 1677 or 1679) was an Italian composer, active mainly in Rome.Abbatini was born in Città di Castello. He served as maestro di cappella at the Basilica of St. John Lateran from 1626 to 1628; at the cathedral in Orvieto in 1633; and at Santa Maria Maggiore in Rome between 1640 and 1646, 1649 to 1657, and 1672 to 1677. He composed church music, and published three books of Masses, four of Psalms, various 24-part Antiphons (1630, 1638, 1677), five books of Motets (1635), and a dramatic cantata, Il Pianto di Rodomonte (1633). He also worked with Athanasius Kircher on the Musurgia Universalis. In addition, he produced three operas: Dal male il bene (Rome, 1654; in collaboration with Marco Marazzoli), which was one of the earliest comic operas, and historically important as it introduced the final ensemble; Ione (Vienna, 1666); and La comica del cielo, also called La Baltasara (Rome, 1668). Antonio Cesti was among his pupils.

Fritz Lubrich

Fritz Lubrich (26 January 1888 – 15 April 1971) was a German organist and composer. Lubrich was born in Neustädtel. His father (1862-1952) was a cantor and hymnologist. Lubrich jr. attended the teacher's seminar in Żagań from 1905 to 1908 and was appointed in 1907 at the University of Music and Theatre Leipzig, a student of Reger and Straube. At the end of his studies he received the Arthur Nikisch Prize for composition.From 1911 to 1919 Lubrich was a music teacher at the Protestant Teachers' Seminar in Bielsko-Biała, and in 1917 he received the Austrian title of professor. In 1919 Lubrich became chief organist at the Pauluskirche in Breslau. In 1923 he also received the German and Polish professorial titles. In the 1920s, Lubrich became organist at the Church of the Resurrection, Katowice. After the Second World War he went to Hamburg and continued his work as an organist and pedagogue. Among Lubricht students were Engelbert Hilbich, Günter Bialas, Gerd Zacher and Kurt Schwaen. Lubricht died in Hamburg at age 83.

Norbert Schultze

Norbert Arnold Wilhelm Richard Schultze (26 January 1911 in Brunswick – 14 October 2002 in Bad Tölz) was a prolific German composer of film music and a member of the NSDAP and of Joseph Goebbels' staff during World War II. He is best remembered for having written the melody of the World War II classic "Lili Marleen", originally a poem from the 1915 book Die kleine Hafenorgel by Hans Leip. Other works were the operas Schwarzer Peter and Das kalte Herz, the musical Käpt'n Bye-Bye, from which comes the evergreen "Nimm' mich mit, Kapitän, auf die Reise" ("Take me travelling, Captain"), as well as numerous films, such as The Immenhof Girls (1955). Pseudonyms used by Schultze include Frank Norbert, Peter Kornfeld, and Henri Iversen.
